The location is great but living quality is bad.

The location is good.

The bed is too small. The shower room is dirty and small. Hot water is not stable. Most importantly, it is very noisy all the time.

Handy to NTNU

Handy location close to National Taiwan Normal University and close to Taipower Building MRT Station. Good dining / lounge area. Housekeeper Honey is cute.

Booked a 3 bedroom, was placed in a 5 bedroom. Bed extremely hard and too short for me. Men’s bathroom very small. More a home with bunks stuffed into the bedrooms.

- the owner could not pick me in the airport, but he gave me refund one night rate (500NT), very responsible !!! - the house has bicycles that can be used for free - the housekeeper can speak english

The staffs are very friendly and kind and the place is really clean. The staff was kind enough to change bed for me.

There is no sign so it's a bit hard to find the place. Also, this is an apartment made into a hostel so it was a bit awkward for me. Also, it's located in a night market so you would hear noise till the night market is settled. Thus, if you are a night owl then it would be a decent place to stay but because I was there to sleep to get up early so it was a bit too much.

Overall, it was OK to stay there but i would not return. Honey, made it bearable

The staff, which was primarily a nice Filipino woman was very accomadating, friendly, and helpful, but i think she was overworked. The access to the hostel on the 2nd floor as well as access to all facilities - bathroom and kitchen was convenient. The immediate neighbor hood was nice and convenient with all the usual shops - Starbucks, 7-11, restaurants etc within a few blocks.

I booked a 3 male dorm and was put into a 5 bed dorm with another man sleeping on the floor. I also had a nicer picture (from the internet) in my mind of the rooms than what i actually saw. Also there were one of two men always sleeping on the couch in the common area in the night time. Not a big deal, but having 3 keys for each of the 3 entrance doors was a little bit of a nuisance.

Quite ok. Wifi is good though. Good neighborhood.

The place is a house and guests share rooms together. Sometimes there are as many as four or five guests in the room, and some of whom sleep on top of bunk beds. Those on the top bed can't have extra space for their bags though.

The owner should limit the number of guests staying in a room and provide extra space for those on the top beds.

What was the highlight of L House

Great for backpackers!

The location is so strategic it is inside shida night market at night there will be awesome food, clothes, in the morning there is a morning market nearby to grabs some breakfast and fruits!!! . It is also very close to 7eleven, family mart, police station, NTU, NTNU, MRT. You will be surrounded by local life deep bathed in all the cultural experience you may only experience in Taipei and Taiwan, The staff is also very friendly, the landlord can speak basic English, but the maid speak English very well. You will find many international guest, as I meet some people here from some countries, best of all it is cheap compares to all the hotel, guest house nearby. It is the best place for those backpackers that want to experience the local way of life and with cheap price.

For constructive criticism, and helpful advice I personally think based on my experience going here. That it is only suitable for some people. (1)Public hygiene the bathroom isn't regularly cleaned and there is one time that it smells very bad, I think it is due to many guest that share the same bathroom so it needs to be cleaned more frequently(2) unfriendly for family travellers, children, elderly, and disabled (wheelchair bound), (3)If there is a new guests coming in at night or early morning you won't be able to sleep they will be loud (4)No privacy you can't do anything in the place either learning or watching TV will be hard on you. Best to just go out. In conclusion : it's a great place for those backpackers that want to experience local life with a cheap price, but best study survival Chinese first hand.

Stay at your own risk.

Close to subway.

The staff wasn't friendly, you couldn't pay by credit card even though it says so on there webpage for booking, the bed was maybe an inch thick, nothing was ever cleaned, and there is no place for luggage in the rooms.

only thing thats not ideal is that there is no sign outside and secondly the address on booking is not quite right, it's number 17 not 12. if arriving late at night this can be a problem. once youve found it, its a great place
